EXHIBITING ONLY AT THE DWYER CULTURAL CENTER
JULY 13 –AUGUST 30, 2024
SPECIAL RECEPTION SATURDAY, JULY 13, 2024 at 3 PM ET

This new exhibition from Christopher Cumberbatch will examine his career across all aspects of his work: behind the scenes of some of his most iconic set designs, his interior designs, and his fine art paintings, specifically from the “Living Forest” collection, where he explores the pivotal relationship between humankind and nature and features themes of “renewal and rebirth” and “survivors and thrivers.” One of his new paintings will be of Simone Smith, who survived from bone marrow cancer and operates a successful fashion business.

Known for his work on stage and screen, interior design, and fine art pieces, Christopher is a visionary who has succeeded in multiple creative mediums. A graduate of Art and Design High School and Parsons School of Design, he has gone on to become critically acclaimed. This new show will showcase his work across the board and will run from July 13st to August 30th.
He worked with some of the biggest players in the industry across TV and Film, including Netflix, Fox, Robert De Niro, Spike Lee, Kevin James, and Tonya Lewis Lee. But he is a man of many talents. He has interior design clients throughout the entertainment industry, and his fine art paintings have a global following among the world’s elite.

He previously exhibited his fine artwork at The Poet’s Den Theatre and Gallery in New York in 2013 and had a one-person show at Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Plaza’s “Skylight Gallery,” where he exhibited over 30 pieces. Most recently, his original paintings were exhibited at the 14th Caribbean Fine Art Barbados, held in March 2024.

Christopher Cumberbatch on his new exhibition, “The Living Forrest Collection has a deep connection between life, love, and people while the other half of the exhibits portrays images of Black woman who are surviving and still thriving despite adversity.”

Pilgrim says, “Many art lovers may not be aware of his superlative talents as his work has primarily provided the background for the worlds of film and theatre.
